Back in 2023, Spotify launched a feature called daylist. This was launched with listeners in mind. We all seek out new music, artists and playlists but often don’t know where to look. Or, even what we’re looking for. With daylist, your playlist will update throughout the day.

The songs suggested to you first thing in the morning will differ from the selection suggested to you right before you go to bed. Since Spotify introduced daylist, 70% of users who opt into the service, listen every week. There are millions of streams earned daily.

Having this service is brilliant for artists and fans alike. While a user can discover new artists, those performing the songs can sit back and relax knowing their music is being pushed to new audiences every single day. Leading them to new fans in the long run.

The feature, daylist, has been named as one of Spotify’s most popular discovery features. Earlier this year, in spring, Spotify reached 65 extra markets than before. This opened daylist up to so many new listeners, however, it wasn’t enough.

There were still so many markets across the world that hadn’t been included. However, now, Spotify have been able to announce that all users on both their free and Premium service will be able to use daylist. No matter where you are in the world.

New markets and language expansion

If you can access Spotify, then you will now be able to use daylist. Spotify have also added a range of languages to their mix. Previously, those accessing the feature who need to do so in English, but updates have been made to make the feature more accessible.

Alongside English, you can now use daylist in the following languages; Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.

This was an important move by Spotify. Not only should all users be able to access a full range of features, but they should also be able to do so in their native language and not have to conform to their second or even third language.

When searching on Spotify, all you need to do is type daylist into your search bar. This will bring up the feature. Alternatively you can head to the Made For You hub, or visit their website link directly. The page will display when your next update will appear.

Share your Spotify daylist

Apart from Wrapped which occurs at the end of the year each year, daylist has been named the top personalised experience on the streaming platform. There have been millions of shares and streams from listeners across all markets.

If you’re looking to share your favourite new songs with friends of yours, why not use a sharecard which is part of the experience? Sharecards allow you to easily share songs with friends. All from a little graphics card personalised to you.

From your daylist you will see options to promote your new songs. You can either share a changing sharecard. This will display four different background graphics throughout the day. You can screenshot your daylist, or even, add a personalised sticker to your social media.

How to save Spotify daylists

If you’ve come across a song, or a set of tracks you really enjoy, don’t let them disappear the next day when your playlist updates. You can keep hold of set moods, or tracks that bring you feeling, by saving them. Add them to your library.

Simple head to the three dots when on the playlist page. From the drop-down menu, select Add to other playlist. This will then give you the option to save the song to a playlist you already have, or create a new one. Why not make a new one called daylist?

If you want to ensure you never miss an updated daylist, you can save the feature to your homepage. Simple click on the three-dot menu on the playlist and select Add to Your Library. Now, the feature is within easy daily reach.
