YouTube Music have had the Ask Music tool for some time, but they want to make it more visible within the Android app.

YouTube Music‘s AI tool, Ask Music has been around for a while, but it isn’t being used as much as the platform would like. Therefore, they have decided to make it more prominent and change the wording to encourage users to give it a go.
The tool was designed to generate custom radio stations based on a users listening habits. Within the Home feed, there was a card stating “Ask for music any way you like” however, this has now been changed to “Ask for music”.
It has been turned into a carousel instead of a music card. This is likely as it’s more enticing for someone to click on. Users will also notice a “Radios for you” carousel. The options you’ll see will refresh throughout the day.

The old vs the new layout.
You’ll notice the buttons include; Deep-voice singers, New releases, Chillwave, British rock classics, Intense orchestral music, Deep cuts, Indie rock, Baroque pop, Minimalist electronic and Morning routine. There should be something for everyone.
If you click on one of the small cards, it will start playing a generated radio or playlist. Ask Music was introduced in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia on Android back in December. It’s said to be coming soon to iOS and further countries.
