How the independent company UDC used a PUSH.fm Smart Link to help host their dance shows

UDC, also known as Un:ted Dance Collective, is an independent company offering the chance for young dancers to perform on stage. They use PUSH.fm’s service to create a Smart Link promoting their events.

What is UDC?

UDC (Un:ted Dance Collective) is an independent company founded by two individuals with a background in the dance industry. Within their local area, it’s a known fact that the only way young dancers can show what they’re made of, is by entering competitions.

While competitions are a fun part of the industry, they only focus on the highest level of achievements, and lead children into thinking winning is everything. The way UDC works is by engaging children from all backgrounds. Allowing them to grow individually.

All children can take part. It doesn’t matter their skill level or experience. If they are part of the dance school, then they are encouraged to come and perform on stage with their friends. It allows children, who might not want to compete, to perform in front of their family.

UDC is all about inclusivity. They have expanded from one show per year, to three shows in 2024. Hoping to expand this even further as next year comes around. They’ve chosen PUSH.fm as their marketing tool, and we want to share with you exactly how they’ve used our service.

How have they used PUSH.fm’s tools?

UDC started out with a free PUSH.fm account. They created a Bio Link, allowing them to share their social media pages through each social account bio. They customised the URL, so anyone clicking on their link will know they’re in the right place.

By customising your link, you’re adding that extra piece of branding. Keeping a generic, auto-generated URL doesn’t bring the link together as effectively. UDC also added in their logo to the artwork section of their link. Again, this logo is used widely within their work.

If you head to their social media accounts, you’ll see this logo as their profile images. Keeping this the same throughout their Bio Link is important for fluidity. The dance company added a brief description, telling their audience what they’re about.

This is particularly helpful for any newcomers, as it means they don’t have to click on any of the buttons to find out more. Everything they need to know is summed up in UDC’s description. Another cool feature UDC utilised was the custom logo option.

Unique store logos

They changed all store logos to fit in with their colour scheme. As you can see in their link attached within this article, their colours are black and neon green/yellow. By using these colours in the link icons, they’ve successfully brought their branding through.

The link flows nicely as all elements tie in together, and it looks like one whole project. In this case, the use of custom icons is powerful because having store logos wouldn’t have looked as sleek. All of these additions were made using PUSH.fm’s free tools.

UDC decided they wanted a little more, so they upgraded their account. This allowed them to add a background. Again, sticking with their branding, they chose a background that flowed. It made the landing page pop against the black background.

As UDC continues to host shows, they regularly update their links. They add ticket sale options, as well as direct links to photos from previous performances. All information, and content, is combined under one URL. Making it easy for their audience to find.

The best part is, they can continue to update their link as the shows go on. They’re able to add as many links within one URL, and their audience will always see the latest version of the link. If you’re looking for a way to promote a dance show, why not try PUSH.fm?
