Since TikTok first came onto the scene, it’s continued to become more and more popular. Certain features on the app in particular are used more than others. In this article we’re going to dive deeper into those.
There are elements of TikTok that perform better than others. This is the same with every social app. With TikTok, it is often fairly obvious when a new feature comes around because everyone is suddenly using it, but which are here to stay? What features are used time and time again, without people growing tired of them?
A popular method of replying to comments left on a creator’s video is to post a video response. Usually a creator will select a comment they have seen multiple times, or one that has a lot of engagement in the form of likes or replies, and they will respond to it.
Simply put, they’ll create a video where they give the answer to the question, and it will be shared with the comment tagged on the photo. Viewers can then click on the comment and be taken back to the original video where the comment was left.
Stitch videos are when a creator takes content from another creative and adds to it. They might take part of a video someone else has posted and then post their reaction after. Or, possibly they’ll add something before the video starts to explain what’s to come, and their opinions on it. These videos are displayed one after another.
Duet videos are similar to a stitch, however with a duet both videos are on the screen at the same time. The videos sit side by side and play at the same time as each other. This is great for when you’re trying to work with a creator in a collaborative form. You can follow the same routine, or skit at the same time.
Possibly the most popular feature on TikTok’s platform is live video. All top creators go live multiple times a week, and it can be a fantastic way of expanding your audience because it’s so easy to follow a creator while watching their live stream. Your live video has more of a chance of appearing on someone’s FYP page because live content is so popular.
