India’s oldest music label, Saregama release AI learning app, Padhanisa

Saregama is India’s oldest music label. Around since 1901, the company has changed names and directions over the years. Now, they’re developing again. This time, into AI-powered music learning.

Saregama, known as India’s oldest music label, is stepping into music education with a new mobile app called Padhanisa. This app uses artificial intelligence to make learning Indian vocal music easy and fun for people worldwide. It’s not just about learning though – users can also share their singing videos and even get noticed by Saregama through a Talent Hunt program.

For many aspiring singers, finding good teachers or feeling confident enough to sing can be tough. Padhanisa aims to solve this problem by acting as a personal singing coach. It uses fancy technology like “advanced algorithms and machine learning” to assess your voice, suggest warm-up exercises, and create personalised lesson plans.

After each session, you get a detailed report to track your progress. But Padhanisa goes beyond just recorded lessons. It also offers live classes led by music experts, where you can ask questions and interact with others. According to Vikram Mehra, Managing Director of Saregama India, the idea for Padhanisa came from singing being a big part of Indian culture.

Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, Padhanisa has something for you. The app offers different subscription plans, from monthly to annual, and you can even try it out for free for seven days. It’s available on both the App Store and Google Play. Providing you have a smartphone, you will be able to access the app and get started. They’ve made it accessible for everyone.

This new app launch comes after Saregama acquired a majority stake in Pocket Aces, a digital entertainment company. Saregama has been around since 1902 and boasts owning almost half of all the music ever recorded in India. In 2020, they teamed up with Spotify, adding thousands of songs to the streaming platform in India.

With Padhanisa, Saregama hopes to make learning Indian vocal music more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their level of experience. So, if you’ve ever wanted to improve your singing skills or share your talent with the world, now’s your chance. Download it and have a go for yourself. After all, it’s free to try it out!
