After the success of the AI Ask Music feature on Android, YouTube are introducing it to iOS. iPhone and iPad users will be able to see the radio generator, allowing them to request new music suggestions based on their previous listening habits.

Once on your device, you will be able to see an option to “Ask for music” via the Home tab. By clicking on it, you will be presented with a carousel of 10 different suggested prompts. Choose one, and see a custom radio station created for you.

If you don’t feel like choosing a prompt, you can create your own by clicking on the “Ask any way you like” field. It will allow you to enter words that describe your mood or current activity. This will then decide your listening experience.

Once you’ve input your data, YouTube Music will take a few moments to create a unique radio. You’ll have the option to add the suggested songs to your library, and the platform will even provide a small description about your music options.

Only those with a YouTube Music or YouTube Premium subscription will have access to this feature. As of now, it’s available in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. It’s thought more countries will be added to this list soon.
