TikTok is certainly addictive. It has everyone hooked, and if you say you’re not, then you’re lying. Five minutes turns into five hours within the blink of an eye. You might tell yourself you’re going to bed, but you’re not fooling anyone. We all know you’re actually going to scroll TikTok until the birds start to chirp, and it’s time to wake up. Anyway, we’re not here to judge, in fact, we love it. We are however, here to tell you about a fun new feature that makes it even easier to share those funny videos with your pals.
No longer do you need to copy a link and send it to your friends via text message, or slide into your mate’s DMs with a funny video they must watch. Instead, you can now reshare TikTok videos. Straight from your For You page, you can essentially retweet a video you enjoy, so your friends can see it. Just in the same way Twitter has always allowed us to share relatable or funny tweets. Now you can share it with everyone at once, no need to send it to everyone you know separately. You’ll soon find a Repost button.
All you need to know
TechCrunch have released everything you need to know about this new feature. It doesn’t seem to be available to all accounts just yet. You might have to wait a little longer for this. We’d imagine they’re releasing it to certain accounts first to be trialled and tested. This is a great way of companies squashing all the bugs they come across to ensure when it’s released to everyone, it is the best it can be.
When it comes to sharing a TikTok video, it won’t appear on your profile. Instead, it will be available on your friends For You feeds. This is providing they follow you. So, with that being said, you need to go and follow your friends on TikTok to make this work. It will add something to your overall experience because you’ll find more videos this way. It will then change up what is shown on your FYP, meaning it can eventually be tailored more towards the videos you find funny.
