TikTok continue to expand their Add to Music App feature. They’ve now added Deezer to the options. Allowing TikTok users to discover songs while scrolling through videos.
TikTok add Deezer to their Add to Music App feature. Allowing users to discover music through the video platform and save it to their streaming platform of choice. The TikTok feature was introduced to the platform for the first time last year (2023).
Originally, it was released in November 2023 and only included Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. The feature was first introduced to the UK and US, and has since expanded to more countries. TikTok then partnered with Melon, a South Korean music store.
They expanded the feature to allow users to save music to the Kakao Entertainment owned platform. Now, they’ve gone on to add Deezer. The feature follows the close of TikTok Music. As of Thursday 28th November, TikTok Music shut down in all 5 operating regions.
“Add to Music App has already been responsible for hundreds of millions of track saves, and billions more streams on music streaming services.”
Michael Kümmerle – TikTok’s Global Head of Music Partnership Development
The feature is a positive one for music artists of all sizes and backgrounds. It allows their music to not only be discovered, but also, easily streamed without listeners having to search for the tracks. The entire process is made effortless, which is a bonus for everyone involved.
TikTok working with streaming stores shows them in a good light and will help them stand out over their competitors (Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts). We all enjoy having processes made easy, and collaborations like this do just that.
