YouTube Music lyrics sharing feature have introduced a new AI addition. You’ll now be able to select a background for you to view while singing along to your favourite tracks.

YouTube Music previously gave the opportunity to share lyrics, so that your audience were able to sing along and not completely butcher the intended meaning… However, they’ve recently decided to allow a little more personality when it comes to lyrics.
With the use of generative AI, users can now choose background options, including different colours for the background being shared. Album artwork, along with the song and artist name, will appear at the top of the track, while the YouTube Music icon will appear in the bottom-left corner.

When pressing the Share button, you’ll be able to select up to five lines of lyrics. Then, you’ll see a carousel of colour options that has a new AI feature. YouTube will display a message saying how it is creating through AI.
This option will take a few seconds to process, and you’ll see a background generated dependent on the lyrics you have selected. For example, if you were to choose lyrics that mentioned a rainy day and being sat by the fire, your background image would be selected to represent this.

You’ll still have the control over your choice of lyrics colour, but the background will be chosen for you based upon which lyrics you have chosen to share. You can then go ahead and share it to your socials, or wherever else you share your favourite song lyrics.
If you don’t like the image provided, you can press the button again, prompting YouTube’s AI to find a new image. You’re able to keep trying until you find something you feel effectively represents the lyrics you’ve chosen.
