Powered by Gemini, Google’s AI Overview provides searchers with information relevant to their search term, in a brief, broken down snippet without the need for hunting through articles.

When searching on Google recently, you’ll have seen the AI Overview feature. It summarises information pulled from different articles and sources across the internet and compiles it into short, manageable paragraphs of information.
The idea behind it, is to save you time. You don’t need to click through various articles to find the answer to your question. Instead, you can read a summarised answer based on multiple information sources. However, like with all technology, it isn’t always correct.
If it’s an important question you’re asking, you might want to fact-check it and pay attention to the sources that have provided the information. You can see the selected sources on the right-hand side next to the pulled data.
Google plan to introduce the Gemini data to YouTube. Allowing the streaming platform to have its own AI overviews. This is currently only available for a few Premium members within the US. It’s also only available in English at this current time.
Feedback will be requested by Google from Premium members. They’ll want to know if the new AI tool is beneficial to YouTube and how it could improve. This information is vital to ensuring the platform provides useful tools.
