Revyze – the TikTok of education

Revyze is an educational app first founded in France. Within a year of it being created, it reached the top spot for downloads. The idea is, with short videos, it can help children learn.

Revyze (pronounced revise) is an app designed to be the “TikTok of Education”. It was first launched in 2022 in France and despite critics thinking otherwise, it has risen in popularity quite drastically. The idea is to help children learn, no matter their circumstances.

From information reported by the United Nations, it’s thought by 2030, 84 million children will not be enrolled in the education system. That’s a huge portion of our future generations who won’t be set up for the future they deserve.

Even for those who are enrolled in schools, it’s thought that the education system as it currently stands is not meeting the required needs. In turn, this is leading to more parents pulling their children out of the standard schooling system.

Instead, many are opting to homeschool their children, which, if done correctly, can be a great solution for those who are less suited to a standard classroom environment. However, many children are being pulled out of schools and simply aren’t being taught at home.

Revyze is said to offer high quality education, and in a way children enjoy. It’s no secret that younger generations are glued to their screens, but Revyze could be a positive app to boost their journey. Now launched globally, the company wants to encourage students to learn.

All topics are explained within short format videos. These videos have been created by a varied group of individuals, from school teachers, to pupils themselves. The idea is, students might find it easier to learn from people their own age.

Others, however, like being taught by a teacher. The information and knowledge has been shared by a community of educators worldwide. Within the first year of the app being live, it reached #1 on the app store.

This allowed Revyze to add more than 11,000 educational videos, which in turn helped 1 in 5 French children revise for their 9th grade exams. After seeing the platform help significantly, the company is determined to see the app go global.

With the younger generation currently spending around 3 to 4 hours on their mobile devices watching clips on platforms like TikTok, they have plenty of time to revise. However, you try telling that to a teenager… Revyze is said to make the activity less of a chore.

Short quizzes and videos that don’t drag on are what Revyze specialise in. It means children have time to enjoy themselves while also focusing on study. It’s a completely free app, so everyone can use it. Not only that, but it’s also designed to be completely accessible.
