You can have more control over your feed finally. Facebook will now let you control the videos that appear on your Facebook Reels.
Currently, only available on iOS, Facebook have a way to control the Reels you see throughout their platform. If you’re someone who loves watching videos on the app, but doesn’t enjoy how many you have to flick through before finding one that interests you, you’ll love this.
Facebook give users the ability to mark videos as interesting, or uninteresting. This allows you to control your algorithm a little more. If you regularly see something that doesn’t interest you, let Facebook know, and they will prevent the platform from showing this again.
You can do this by clicking on the Reel and marking it as Show more or Show less. When you mark a video, it will influence future decisions made by the algorithm. So, if you aren’t interested in something, make sure you mark it as such.
Otherwise, you will see more of what you dislike and not enough of what you do like. By allowing users more control, Facebook are making their videos more of an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. So, ensure you do your part.

Using this method will allow you to have the control over what you see on Facebook. It will prevent you from seeing anything that you might find harmful, or just doesn’t interest you. Also, you’ll get more out of your experience by watching content you enjoy.
How to hide a Facebook Reel
- While watching a reel on Facebook, tap

Hide reel.
If you see a reel that you believe goes against our Community Standards, you can report it.
Some things you’d rather not see all together. While marking a Reel as uninteresting might stop it from appearing, it won’t hide content related to it completely. So, if you’ve seen something you never want to see again, you can hide it instead.
