With Deezer’s latest figures released, we can see that around 39% of the music added to their platform each day, is AI-generated. They’re receiving over 60,000 fully AI-made tracks daily.

Back in September, Deezer released an article stating 28% of music delivered to their platform was now AI-generated. Since then, this number has continued to grow, rapidly. Now, the tracks made through AI are 39% of all submissions to the streaming site.
This is 60,000 songs each day, which is a huge stretch from the 50,000 in November and the 30,000 in September. It’s only been a year since Deezer introduced their AI detection technology. This was launched in January 2025 and at the time, they only had 10,000 AI-generated tracks.
Deezer say they have tagged more than 13.4 million tracks for the use of AI. It’s all thanks to their detection technology, which they’re now making commercially available. The company announced they have been testing it along with industry partners.
They want to insure AI-music fraud is kept at bay. Just because people create music using AI, does not mean it should contain anything stolen from other legitimate artists and hopefully, if what Deezer says is true, their tech will prevent this from happening.
“From now on, we are licensing the tech to make it widely available. Deezer continues to lead the way in promoting a transparent experience for artists and fans, with a commitment to fight AI-music fraud across our industry.”
– Deezer
85% of AI-generated music streams are fraudulent
According to Deezer’s reports, up to 85% of streams for AI-generated music in 2025 were fraudulent streams. This is incredibly damaging to the streaming world, and more importantly, to legitimate artists. However, they did pull these tracks.
The music was demonetised and removed from any royalty pools. Allowing AI music isn’t therefore the issue as such, it’s how people use it that becomes a problem. But, with Deezer’s technology, it should be easy to locate and monitor.
For Deezer’s catalogue, 8% of the overall streams were fraud streams. That’s a large number, but similar platforms range from 1% to 10% when it comes to fraudulent streams, so Deezer aren’t alone. At least they’re acting on it.
Another positive for Deezer is, they’re the only streaming platform currently to put AI labels on their music. They tag each AI-generated track, allowing listeners to therefore choose if they wish to listen to something created this way or not.
Deezer appears to be paving the way for their competitors. While many argue AI music shouldn’t be allowed, there is a place for it online. Many enjoy it, and it allows everyone a chance to make music. However, it must be done fairly.
