Fender are bringing their guitar lessons to Samsung TVs through their app, Fender Play. This means they’ll be accessible to everyone without them having to leave the house.
Later this year, those with a Samsung TV will be able to learn how to play the guitar from the comfort of their bedroom. This is the first TV edition of the Fender Play app to appear, and it’s set to arrive before Summer is here.
Players have the option to choose from both electric and acoustic guitar lessons. They’ll also have options for bass and even the ukulele. These lessons will be video-based and built to match various skill levels.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, or slightly more advanced, you should be able to find video tutorials that match where your current skill set lies. The courses will be on-demand and will feature various well-known songs.
By using songs that are popular, and current, it’s likely those learning will feel more inclined to stick at it and progress. We all start music projects with the hopes to one day play our favourite artists songs, so why not start there? Keep the spark going.
Songs such as The Beatles Blackbird and Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License are just two examples of music choice. You can even choose genre-specific playlists which should give you the variety of songs, but within a genre you enjoy.
Fender Play is already available through the App Store and Google Play, so those with smartphones and similar devices can start to learn, however, having it directly on your TV will make the lessons much easier to follow. After all, they’ll be on the big screen.
The app first launched in 2017 and since has grown, finding more and more instructors to teach all levels of guitar. The subscription costs $20 each month, or $150 annually, which is impressive considering you have unimitated access to the app. An on-hand teacher.
