This week, Apple is unveiling a new feature on its Apple Music for Artists platform. Allowing artists to track “when and where” their music is being played on radio stations globally. The new feature will allow artists to see more in-depth data about their music.

In an announcement on the iTunes Connect website, Apple detailed the update:

“In the label view of Apple Music for Artists, users can now monitor the airplay of their artists’ music on over 40,000 radio stations across more than 200 countries and regions. For further details on accessing radio spin data, refer to the Understand your analytics, article.”

Additionally, Apple offers a “premium radio spins experience” through its Apple Music Partner Program. This feature provides more comprehensive radio insights. Including detailed spin data segmented by country, market, day part, station, artist, and song.

Artists also have the capability to generate “custom airplay reports.” These new updates allow artists more of an insight than ever into how their songs are being used and which markets to target in their next set of marketing campaigns.

For more information, visit the iTunes Connect Resources and Help website. This enhancement follows Apple’s recent introduction of Shazam-powered playlists on Apple Music, which display the most played songs on radio stations worldwide.
